The beauty of this recovery is that it is already leaving 70% of the US behind!

It’s all about the top 30%. Who’s benefited from the economics of the last 6 months? Banksters! People with deep pockets of cash “on the sidelines” (not!)! All the people in the financial services sector (direct and indirect) who got their asses saved from a tidal wave of layoffs, downsizing, bankruptcies and defaults!

NOBODY else has benefited. They’ve only slumped deeper (household wealth down, wages stagnant, unemployment up but prices edged higher).

Unlike the Great Depression, there’s no restructuring going on, no redistribution.

The engine of the economy, the consumers, only have 5% of the capital. The richest 5% own 95% of the capital, and they are squeezing every drop of blood they can from the bottom 95%. This is the first time wealth has been so concentrated in the post industrial age.

There’s a big game of musical chairs going on. And if you don’t have a seat at the table already, then you might consider becoming a butler for the next guided age.
