BB: “Right gentlemen, we have been issued with the greatest of challenges. Our world is in the process of imploding. We must save our nation and the Federal Reserve from annihilation.”
FM: “What do you have planned Mein Chairman?”
BB: “We must create a bridgehead in the markets long enough for economic activity to return to the levels of the wonder days for our great nation. We must hold together the credit and equity markets by any and all means available until our people can say ‘Yes, the Dow deserves to be at 14,000 once again’. In order to restore such confidence to the people we must take the markets to those levels as fast as possible regardless of worth and hold them there until such time as they are able to support themselves. This, and only this, will return us once again to our righteous position in the world.”
FM: “But Mein Chairman such a strategy has never been attempted before with success.”
BB: “I don’t want excuses and I will not tolerate cowards. My mission is clear, the resurrection of our great state to its former glory.”
FM: “Mein Chairman have you considered the cost of such a plan?”
BB: “No cost will be greater than doing nothing. We must forge ahead with the attack at the earliest practical moment. Any hestitation from any of my Generals will result in a trip for the perpetrator to a Derivatives Camp where he can expect ‘Special Treatment’. Do I make myself clear?”
FM: “Crystal Mein Chairman”.
BB: “The Bureau of Lying Statistics and the Ministry of Media & Crowd Control will be issued with their appropriate Top Secret orders forthwith. Envoys are now on their way to deal with other leaders around the world. These spineless swine will soon be like soft puddy in my hand. We have come a long way since the early days of 1913 and we have overcome every setback that has befallen us. This time will be no different. Long live the Federal Reserve!”
FM: “Long live the Federal Reserve Mein Chairman.”
