There’s our very cute consumerless and jobless recovery we’ve got goin’ on here…

The National Foundation for Credit Counseling surveyed more than 2,000 people in March…and learned that the consumer recovery…just does’nt seem to be quite as far along as some think.

51 percent…are still spending less than they did last year.

18 percent…have increased their spending.

49 percent…said they would continue to spend less than they did in 2009…even…if their financial situation were to improve…within the next year.

27 percent…said they would spend a comparable amount…if…their financials improved.

38 percent…said they are saving the same amount…as they did last year.

36 percent…are putting less of their paychecks toward the future.

30 percent of respondents…said…they have no additional savings…outside of their retirement funds.

33.3 percent of adults…about 75,000,000 people—do not even put any of their annual household income toward retirement.

Draw your own conclusions.

One things for sure…the post re-runs much better than it did in it’s initial release a few hours ago…interesting.
