Trayvon coverage killing local business
ANFORD, Fla. –
A popular Sanford restaurant claims its sales were down $10,000 last week because “people are afraid” to visit the city in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting death.
Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe made the claims on its Facebook page.
“That is $1,500 tips for our servers, or 250 hours I had to cut from my weekly schedule,” said the post, made by a man named Theo. “In other words, 74 people will get a smaller paycheck because of how the media describes our town of Sanford.”
