Update: 2 dead in mid-air collison of 2 private planes St. Brieux, Sask. – @Globeandmail


Officials say two small planes have crashed following a mid-air collision in Saskatchewan.

Captain Robert Landriault at the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Trenton, Ont., says the centre was alerted Saturday morning that aircraft wreckage was discovered near St. Brieux, a community northeast of Saskatoon.

He says police responded to the scene, and determined that there was actually wreckage from two planes.

One of the planes was a Piper PA-28, which was flying from Calgary to St. Brieux.
