We live in a democracy. Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing?

Here is a true analogy of what can make a democracy go wrong. This example is from the history books. If people fail to learn from history they will more likely repeat its mistakes.

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.”

“A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.”

“From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years”

During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

“From bondage and tyranny to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to selfishness; From selfishness to dependence; From dependence back into bondage and tyranny.”

We are between the phases of selfishness and dependence today and very close to going back to bondage and tyranny . . .

Now I know what your all thinking - how can one compare 2000 years ago too today with the fast pace lifestyle of this past 100 years?

Okay good question. I can only answer it with this:

Our Founding Fathers knew of this and that’s why they devised the Constitution in the form of a Republic, where the rule of law rules the land. Those laws were in the original Constitution. They did not want the country to be a democracy. They knew a democracy type of society could change the laws over time by the fact that once in a democracy; the majority rule, and laws can be changed when the majority of people changing them are thinking too liberal or off base. This is what’s happening today. It seems the majority of the people are liberals, including the television media, and also our government, and before long the country, as it once was, will be history.

Our foundation is breaking up piece by piece by this weakness. It’s a crying shame.

Blame the CFR Trilateral Commission liberals with the no holes barred combination of communism/capitalism/corporate-fascism/plutocratic team created by the elite banksters that highjacked our country and our government with the “maybe we can work it out economic philosophy” with a one world order of liberal socialism with the IMF world bank as the Kings.

The Copenhagen climate treaty is just a small piece of what I am talking about.

I remember when we were kids and we used to laugh about how the government would someday tax the air we breath by the way taxes kept going up all the time, laughing and joking about - if they could - they would. Back then we thought it would never happen because it was too bizarre and wacky of a concept. I can’t believe it’s actually might come true!!! NUTS!

The United States economy is headed for a deflation and depression period with the return of tyranny if the people give into this insanity.
