New York, NY – November 30, 2009 – Westwood One announced today that it will broadcast one of the biggest NCAA Football match-ups of the year as the top ranked Florida Gators take on the number two ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game on December 5, 2009. John Tautges will handle play-by-play for the game and will be joined by former UCLA Head Coach and College Football Hall of Famer Terry Donahue as color analyst.
“For the second straight year the SEC Championship comes down to number one vs. number two,” said Gary Schonfeld, President of Westwood One Network Division. “And once again, Westwood One, the number one network for sports brings America the number one game in college football.”
Westwood One is home to some of the most exciting sports broadcasts on radio. The 2009-2010 NCAA Football season on Westwood One features a full 26 game regular season schedule, plus six post season contests including the Army-Navy Game, SEC Championship Game, the Gator Bowl and the Cotton Bowl.
Westwood One’s regular season schedule included two games with the defending National Champion Florida Gators, three games featuring the Alabama Crimson Tide, plus the traditional annual battles between Ohio State and Michigan, and Oklahoma and Texas.
