Why would a country trend away from its Ideals?

I count myself as a fairly calm level headed person in every day life. I am not quick to judge, and I do not overreact. By education, and a love of reading, I am a student of History.
That said; we are on the verge of the abyss. Our country is trending more and more towards an amalgam of horrible unAmerican ideals. (corporatist-fascist-imperialist-totalitarian-socialistic)
Why would a country trend away from its Ideals? Why does what I say above ring so hollow when you speak to every day Americans? The truth is we do not control our own country any longer. Even though we vote, we are disenfranchised. The bluntness of this truth is uncomfortable, I know.
The Federal Reserve Bank is a privately owned entity. It has usurped the sovereign power to create monies from the people’s elected representatives. This institution creates money out of thin air, and charges the people interest for what is a sovereign right of the Federal Repulic of the United States of America.
In this way, the government is beholden to a private for profit institution. A cabal of super wealthy elites run the banks and corporations, and they own both of the primary political parties. These same corporations own all of the “main stream” media.
These banks. Citibank, BOA…etc.. They aren’t being bailed out. They are skimmming the citizenry; fleecing the wool from their herd. It’s simply an orchestrated transaction. Remember the old Jefferson quote… First by inflation then by deflation.
This is obviously not just America. This network of central banks are working towards a new world order. I know it may sound crazy, but it is very very true. I would point to the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bilderberger group in this context.
I don’t care if you are Republican, Democrat, conservative, or liberal. If you have any love for America. Sell off your investments, and cash out your bank accounts. Boycott the financial and economic system till the Fed is abolished.
If you do not believe what I say, please do your own research. I believe our country, the world community, and perhaps our very species to be at a tipping point. We must start by taking back our country back from the bankers. Our founding fathers fought them, Andrew Jackson fought them, Abraham Lincoln denied them, but they are back. Woodrow Wilson sold us out nearly a century ago, and the present circumstances are a direct result. Please consider my plea carefully. We can do this peacefully, but we must stand together.
