Windows 7 is pretty decent. I am really impressed with it.

It has a feature called Med-V that allows you to run a WinXP app.
There is a product called Bit Locker To Go that makes your USB port secure so that you can keep people from copying data to flash drive. You can also encrypt the data so that it cannot be used without a password. Oh, and you can make the flash-drives read-only too.
If you have multiple windows open and you want to quickly see two of them side by side, you can easily dock the programs to the sides of the screen just by dragging them to each side. When all of those multiple windows are open and your screen looks cluttered, you can click and hold on the title-bar of a window and then wiggle the mouse a little and all of the other windows immediately minimize.
There is so much more, but these were some of the obvious features that stand out. That’s right! Another neat one (cheesy for some, but really nice for the OCD user in your company/household) How many times have you seen people that have to open up the programs on their computer in a certain order so that they know where on their task-bar it is every time? Heck, you may do it yourself (not me). But now you can just click and drag them around on your task-bar to place them wherever you like, no matter what order they were started in.
There are a lot more features that are more technical, and less technical, but I am looking forward to putting Vista Ultimate on my home system within the next few weeks.
If you have WinXP, you’ll have to save all of your data to a DVD/CD or a flash-drive and wipe it clean in order to install Win7.
If you have Vista (32), then it is an in-place upgrade … unless you want to go to 64-bit, then you have to wipe it clean and install fresh.
