Zuckerberg unveils plan for Internet access — for everyone on Earth!
SAN FRANCISCO — Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg late Tuesday announced on his Facebook profile page the formation of a partnership with Samsung Electronics, Nokia, Qualcomm and others to make Internet access available to everyone on Earth.
Hunts for 5 billion new friends
In an official launch statement the organization notes that there are currently 2.7 billion people worldwide with internet access. This figure is growing by just under 9 per cent each year andinternet.org wants to increase this rate, making the internet “available to the next 5 billion people.”
