MIG collided with the drone while trying to shoot it down with guns, after expending its missiles trying.
This happened a lot in WW2, inexperienced German pilots would get killed colliding with bombers, not accounting for the closing speeds.
Including missiles, $11 or $12 MILLION dollars expended to shoot down a $10,000 drone. No matter how you slice it, that is a win for the Russians, even if they lose the already expendable drone.

According to Ukrainian sources, debris from drone hit the cockpit of the MiG-29 caused damage,pilot was forced to eject.
