Fully vaccinated international traveler in California tests positive for Omicorn….

It’s almost like vaccinated international travelers are the most common source of Omicorn (first found in 4 fully vaccinated travelers in South Africa).

First case of Omicorn found in California. :

The person, an adult under age 50, tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday.

“The individual, who was fully vaccinated and had mild symptoms that are improving, is self-quarantining and has been since testing positive,” the CDC statement read. Close contacts of the person have been undergoing Covid-19 tested. So far, no one has tested positive.

The fact that the person had only mild symptoms is a testimony to vaccinations, said Dr. Mark Ghaly, secretary of the California Health and Human Services Agency, during a news conference.

“Vaccinations do a really important thing: protect against severe disease, against hospitalization and death,” Ghaly said.

Botswana’s health director says majority of Omicorn cases asymptomatic.

Botswana says 15 more cases of omicron Variant detected. :

The minister applauded its scientists for detecting the new variant in the country early, but stressed it did not emerge in Botswana as the four cases were found in people who travelled to the country on a diplomatic mission.

It seems like vaccinated people traveling internationally cause new variants of covid to spread. I wonder if variant spread by diplomats has been a common theme?
