In Bakhmut a restaurant owner and 60,000 convicts destroyed an army that NATO trained for 9 years. Reminds me of the farmers in sandals that kicked the US out of Afghanistan. The US Govt spends a trillion dollars >per year< on a military that can’t win anything. What a waste.

What most people still don’t get is that it’s not about winning, it’s about spending more money.
The battle of Bakhmut has been a bloodbath. It makes sense for the Russians — 80-90% of residents were ethnic Russians prior to the war so they are fighting for their people — but why did the Ukrainians sacrifice everything here?
