Ted Cruz Says CNN Exposing Reddit Meme Maker Violates Georgia Law.

by Pamela Williams
What has it come to?  This is ridiculous, and it is just another war between mainstream media and alternative media.  CNN is over the edge, and they have may have even violated the law.  Ted Cruz tweeted the following:

I like Ted Cruz, but I bet CNN is not liking him too much right now.
CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski reported, and I am sure proudly, he had learned the Reddit user’s identity, who had jokingly created a meme of President Trump wrestling CNN.  I mean, give me a break…it is funny.  By Tuesday he said  the person both issued an apology on the subreddit “The_Donald” and had deleted all of his other posts.
Wow, CNN, you must be proud.  “Using identifying information that “HanA**holeSolo” posted to Reddit, CNN’s investigative unit, known as KFile, was able to determine key biographical details.  They actually found the man’s name using a Facebook search.  This is really crazy and scary at the same time.
Ultimately they were able to match details from Reddit to Facebook.  However, so kind of them, they said they would not publish the person’s name stating the following:
“because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse…because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again.”

I have to say here…you can have Madonna threaten to blow up the White House, and you can have Kathy whatshername hold up a decapitated head of President Trump, but CNN freaks out over a comical internet meme?!

Ted Cruz said if CNN tracked down the Reddit user through his IP address, then used the information to threaten him, they could be in violation of a Georgia law.  The CNN Headquarters are in Atlanta, GA.
THE DAILY CALLER refers to GEORGIA CODE, which is as follows:
A person could be guilty of “theft by extortion” if they threaten to “disseminate any information tending to subject any person to hatred, contempt, or ridicule or to impair his credit or business repute.”

Twitter users pointed to NEW YORK’S PENAL LAW against coercion, saying it could apply to CNN’s threat to dox the Reddit poster.  You see, CNN also has a studio in New York.
Frankly, the fact that they exposed the Reddit user’s avatar name is bad enough.  If they found his credentials anyone can if they know their way around the Internet.
What does this mean to our participation on Internet sites now?   Will we have to be afraid of posting and using Internet memes now?
I mean are we being threatened as posters now?  Really, are we?

There are no words for how insane the dinosaur lapdog establishment mouthpiece mockingbird media is getting. Case in point: remember that “infamous” meme of Trump wrestling CNN to the ground that the teleprompter-in-chief tweeted last weekend? Well after days of wall-to-wall pearl clutching coverage from the MSM, they’ve finally tracked down the vile reddit user who created it! And they’re threatening to dox him. As you can imagine, this is not going so well for the least trusted name in news…
