Liberals are the most bigoted and dogmatic individuals in America. This is ironic because the word liberal is defined as “open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.” Leftists discriminate against “new behavior and opinions” that contrast with their own, even to the extent of using threats and violence as methods of intimidation and censorship. The 2016 election revealed the true nature of how liberals conduct themselves when a situation is not going in their direction.

I have been on the receiving end of detestable rhetoric from liberals who disagree with my political principles. As a conservative woman of color, I am very bold and outspoken about politics and my opinions, especially through social media platforms and writing. Over an extensive period of time, I have read tweets stating that I deserve to be physical assualt because I am a conservative, fierce supporter of Donald Trump. Liberals believe it is appropriate to brand me as a “coon,” or a “sellout,” because in their minds, African Americans should only identify as Democrats. These attacks have also been aimed at other black conservatives like Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, and Stacey Dash. Liberals thrive on groupthink and they berate any individual who dares to think for themselves.

When Donald Trump ran for office, liberals engendered disturbances at his rallies and intentionally had them shut down. Each and every American has the Constitutional right to freedom of speech, even if that speech does not align with the positions of others. Attacking people who hold opposing beliefs is dangerous and clashes with sacred American values. Liberals frequently profess their loathing of discrimination and bigotry yet they vilify any and all people who merely have a dissimilar political outlook.

Democrats have shown their true colors. They preach the need for free speech and tolerance, but this only applies to them and their supporters. Liberals have no problem with infringing upon the rights of Republicans and conservatives, which is most unfortunate. The double standard has been revealed and now true patriots of America must spark productive change.

    • Bannon has never called for genocide of any race. Over the holiday a leftist professor called openly for “white genocide” and was not even disciplined by the left. You are an idiot if you are not standing up to the kind of obvious bigotry in your own ranks.
      Of course if you are too lazy to read the article and realize it was a woman who wrote the article, I can see why you are confused.

    That has been my experience over the years and decades. Liberals speak, conservatives listen. When conservatives then speak, they are often met with interruptions, and sometimes with over-the-top emotional responses verging on hysteria.
    Here is a funny but revealing story. I once tried to share some of Rush Limbaugh’s comments with my liberal mother-in law. I’d selected a few comments based on merit. In other words, I was presenting Rush at his best – most agreeable, interesting, and reasonable. I had barely begun when she covered her ears and said “I don’t hear you. I’m much too intelligent and open-minded to listen to anything Rush Limbaugh has to say.” She started humming and singing loudly with her hands still over her ears. I was shocked. I never would have expected such childish behavior from an adult.
    I’ve reflected on this episode. “Intelligent” is a word liberals bestow on liberals as a reward. It has nothing to do with intelligence. It’s kind of like Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize. One could write volumes about “intelligence,” so I’ll just stop here.
    What is really interesting is the claim of being “open minded.” Someone with an open mind is someone who is willing to listen. Many normal people demonstrate their willingness to listen by quietly sitting with minimal expression while the speaker speaks. There are different actions consistent with a closed mind. Here are some I think we have all seen: interrupting the speaker as he, or she, is trying to make an argument; grimacing or making eye-rolls as the speaker speaks. It is not often that one sees someone who is so closed minded and childish as to cover their ears and chant while the speaker talks.
    My mother-in-law said she was open minded even as she demonstrated extremely closed minded behavior. Bizarre.
    I think her problem is that she has been indoctrinated to think that “being intelligent and open minded” just comes with the liberal territory. Not so. One can not BE open minded; one must DEMONSTRATE open mindedness. For starters, uncover your ears and listen for the positive, factual, and logical.

    Democrats have a high opinion of themselves. But consider: Democrats were the slavery party. The military arm of the Democratic party was the KKK. Democrats tolerate and encourage violence today. Democrats open abortion clinics primarily in Black neighborhoods. Democrats lock black children into the worst government schools. Democrats raise the minimum wage hurting black teenagers more than anyone else. Democrats really were (and are) fond of communism.
    When Democrats complain about how awful America is, they are usually unknowingly complaining about Democrats. Slavery, the KKK, violating Indian treaties (Andrew Jackson), interring Japanese-Americans (FDR), dropping the atomic bomb (Truman), starting the Vietnam war (Kennedy). Instead of apologizing for America, apologize for the Democratic party.
    One of my beefs is the action of the Democratic Congress in defunding and otherwise abandoning South Vietnam. This guaranteed the fall of South Vietnam and that the death of 55 thousand Americans would be in vain.

  11. Not until the Obama administration did I have any issues with the liberal sector of the Democratic party. The party of free speech has become the party of oppression. In the name of political correctness and racial justice they are succeeding in silencing voices opposed to their ideas. They are throwing republicans off of college campuses. Anyone who says anything contradicting their ideas are quickly set aside as bigots. Right wingers are labeled as uneducated and dumb. They have become what they are proclaiming to hate.
    I staunchly oppose almost everything they stand for and I will continue to do so until they tone down their racism, hate and descrimination.

  12. As a Liberal I’m starting to have more in common with convservatives now, it’s strange.. Liberals used to be so open minded, kind, pro free speech and freedom, very “live and let live”. Now Liberalism is all about censorship, tyranical control, irrational name calling and projection. There has never been a worse time to be a Liberal, it has become synonymous with “fascism” somehow…?!
