The photo on the left was a widely circulated photo of a Syrian refugee child who drowned. It turned out that in that case the child’s body was moved and posed. It was also shown to have been an accidental drowning.
The second photo was of a young girl killed in a terrorist attack. iirc, she was hit by a van driven by a jihadi. The media kept this image relatively quiet.
